Hello,
A Pleasure to connect.
My name is Eva Trapp, also known as Eagle in Flight. I grew up all over the Midwest, starting my early training with Michigan Ballet Theatre, Gladisa Guadalupe of Cleveland Ballet, and at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. Summers were spent dancing in the School of American Ballet, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. My professional dancing career launched with The Ohio Ballet, working under the extraordinary wings of Cynthia Gregory and Isabelle Fokine. I joined The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre for eight seasons as a Soloist where I became the first American ballerina to perform the role of Blanche in John Neumeier's A Streetcar Named Desire. My final years on the stage were spent with Twyla Tharp Dance where I had the honor of performing in the 50th Anniversary Tour across the US and abroad.
After retirement, my passion for body intelligence carried me into the healing arts. I became a Licensed Massage Therapist, an Ayurvedic Body Worker & Health Consultant, a Marma Therapist, an Expanding Movement Teacher, and an experienced Certified Yoga Instructor with The World Yoga Federation.
As my next journey unfolded, it took me in search of building communities through wellness,. My husband, former dancer Nicholas Coppula, and I designed a 5,000 square foot yoga and wellness center. Two companies of mine were founded in Pittsburgh, PA. Bindu + Body, my personal wellness practice that has evolved into a place for seeds to plant and prosper into form. Bindu + Body is the home for creative projects such as authoring The Living Oracle Series. Sneha Yoga & Wellness Collective is the home of The Integrated Yoga Path, hosting the 300-hour Yoga Teacher Certification and the larger body that now holds all future publishing endeavors. With my esteemed colleague Jennifer Alyse, The Velvet Renaissance was co-founded as a retreat dream-project started in Phoenix, Az.
The prolific paths of my life illustrated the consistent nature of rebirth, cycling like a metronome of completion. This metamorphic spiraling wheel has taught me to appreciate fellow Souls and help ignite the fierce wild that burns within each of us. My work continues into exploration of growth and wonderment in all spaces. It is a gift to be a part of the journey of another’s expanding self. The grit of art in motion awakens our spirit, making way for the collective to come to understand its own essence is in the tiny particulates of everyday magic.
May we all be continual students within the scope of
Community, Connection, and Care.
